Marketing Secret

How the Sales Process Defines Your Marketing

A little short deviation today as we talk about some of the feedback we’ve gotten on the survey. You’ll see the survey above if you haven’t had a chance to fill it out it takes less than a minute and will help me create better content that matters to you and your business.

Today we talk about the sales process. Some of the feedback we have received is marketing related but I believe we have to take a step back first. That step back is to ensure that you are doing everything possible in your sales process.

When you have a rock solid sales process this allows you to create a very effective positioning and branding strategy. I actually believe the first step in any positioning or branding is to get out there and sell. The knowledge and insight you get when one and one with customers or clients will define  your messaging, your branding, how you position, how you communicate, and your expectations.

We talk about this in the podcast. I share the background on one of the clients we are working with at You Brand, Inc. How we worked with the client to rework the whole front end sales process. How originally they thought the leads they had been receiving were not that great but through some tweaking of scripts, follow up and proposal we turned them into great leads.

My point in mentioning this is it gives further clarity to the branding and marketing process. Often times this is what opens the door for you to be unique.

A little bit longer show than normal roughly 16 minutes. I am okay with talking about these elements more if it helps, it is where myself and my team is aligned but I want to make sure it fits in the value that you get from the podcast. So please send me some feedback on that stuff.
