Social Media Case Study and How Social Affects the Brain

From practical to releasing chemicals in the brain. Today I highlight a great case study from Jake at Patchworkmedia. In this case study Jake walks thru how a negative tweet was turned into a positive outcome for the brand and company. Not only did the interaction turn out great but it resulted in a great blog post and a champion for the company. View the post The Benefits of Social Media: Turning the Negative into the Positive. I also expand a little on this and give my thoughts on what I consider a hidden benefit of social interactions.

Then we cover an article that I have been wanting to talk about for a while. It’s about how Neuroeconomist Paul Zak has discovered, for the first time, that social networking triggers the release of the generosity-trust chemical in our brains. And that should be a wake-up call for every company. This article is worth the read. I would put the knowledge into your toolbox.
